Ha Tay province lies to the southwest of and at the entrance to the capital city of Hanoi. The tropical monsoon climate is divided in three microclimates according to landscape: the plain zone, with a hot and humid climate affected by marine winds; the hilly zone, with a continental climate affected by western winds; and the Ba Vi mountainous zone, with a cool climate and an average temperature of 18°C. Ha Tay's most well-known for having the largest pagoda of the country:  

Chua Huong (Huong Pagoda or Perfume Pagoda), which isnot only an historical site with valuable architecture, but also a scenic spot in Ha Tay province. The beautiful, naturally romantic landscape and the religious significance have combined over the centuries to imbed the Perfume Pagoda in the hearts and minds of the Vietnamese people. The Huong Pagoda Festival, Vietnam's longest celebration, lasts all spring. The festival is also the most crowded, with at least 30,000 pilgrims per year.
